Providing a helping hand to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), ITC has come forward with their 'Wealth out of Waste' (WOW) programme to help authorities make Bangalore a cleaner, greener city. ITC will help create sustainable livelihood for rag-pickers and waste collectors with the BBMP, as well as recycling dry waste. "It is necessary to create awareness among people about segregation of dry waste and we (BBMP) are happy that ITC has come forward with this initiative as its corporate social responsibility," said M. Lakshminarayana, Commissioner, BBMP to presspersons here on Saturday. WOW started their programme on June 20 this year with 12 wards in Bangalore city.
