Single malt to marble: Its all for hospitality - The Times of India

ITC Hotels is known for going the extra mile to build its business. Some time ago to boost its single malt whiskey collection, the hotel chain had acquired a 30-year-old Glenfiddich cask in Scotland. More recently, for the construction of its latest luxury property in Chennai, ITC bought an entire marble quarry in Italy and shipped tonnes of the rock to Tamil Nadu. The property ITC Grand Chola now gleams in white stone, having been built over a million square feet of marble.
